Overview

BIB: Break in Bangkok offers a fresh and inviting take on Thai cuisine nestled in the heart of Bangkok’s bustling Si Lom district, specifically inside Trinity Mall. This intimate and thoughtfully designed restaurant brings together authentic flavors with a contemporary twist, making it a standout destination for both locals and visitors seeking an elevated Thai dining experience.

The menu is a curated journey through bold and inventive dishes. Signature items like the Grilled Beef Tongue with Salt Egg Topping highlight the chef’s willingness to experiment with textures and tastes, though some diners have found the cut a bit chewy—a minor note in an otherwise remarkable lineup. Traditional favorites such as Pad Thai with Prawns and Pasta Curry with Shrimp balance familiarity with innovative flavors, while grilled options like the smoky Grilled Pork Neck and tender Squid Marinated capture the essence of Thai street food but with refined execution.

One cannot overlook the restaurant’s playful and unexpected dessert selection, particularly the homemade ice creams. The Guacamole Ice Cream and Mango Sticky Rice Ice Cream are refreshingly unique, striking just the right balance between sweetness and genuine flavor complexity, providing a perfect finale to the meal.

Atmospherically, BIB breaks away from the frenetic energy commonly associated with Bangkok’s food scene. The cozy, aesthetically pleasing space in Trinity Mall creates a relaxed vibe that invites guests to linger and savor each course. Friendly, attentive service adds warmth to the experience, with staff like Ms. Phung frequently praised for their welcoming and efficient approach.

This restaurant is ideal for small groups of friends or curious food lovers looking for an engaging evening. Its manageable size encourages reservation, ensuring a personalized dining experience without the overwhelming crowds often found in larger establishments. Whether you crave authentic Thai flavors with a twist or seek a comfortable spot to unwind after sampling street delicacies, BIB: Break in Bangkok hits the mark with its combination of inventive cuisine, charming ambiance, and thoughtful hospitality.

It's a restaurant with cute decor. I ordered a bunch of small dishes to try -- grilled beef tongue with salty egg yolk, garlic fried rice, grilled veggies with salty fish sauce, and a mango sticky rice ice cream. Everything tasted good. The only gripe I had was that the beef tongue was really tough and chewy (mostly fat and tendons). They could have served a better cut of meat. Friendly service though.

Simply delicious! Interesting menu items, great service (Ms Phung) is amazing!!! Cool music and it was exactly what we were looking for after a few days of street food! Oh and don’t forget to try their homemade ice creams! We got 4 different ones and all were equally amazing! Thanks for a wonderful dinner and we will definitely tell our friends to visit!!

We were very surprised by this place; all the dishes were delicious! We ordered different dishes to share and loved the Thai shrimp omelet, among other things. There's a good beer selection, too! They have homemade ice cream that's delicious and not too sweet. We tried the mango sticky rice and the chocolate ice cream, both delicious. A great place to go with friends!

Everything was spot on in this restaurant. Especially flavours and texture on the foods were delicious. You might need to do a reservation since the restaurant isn’t too big, but the service and atmosphere in the restaurant are amazing! Highly recommended will surely go again here!

Creative and delicious Thai fusion cuisine. I recommend all fired dishes. They’re super good. I will come back for testing their various flavor ice-creams next time.
